“In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.” – 1 Peter 1:6-7
You are asking yourself, how much longer will this lock down last?📷Yes. It does seem like a long time for us all to be “shut down.”
Even though most of us have not been affected by the virus through sickness or death we have all been affected by the lockdown. We at Warriors for Christ have been in lockdown for 2 months, but are able to minister in new ways through the internet. How are you doing in this Corona crisis? Can we pray for you and your family? Please email your requests and we will post them on the Warriors for Christ Facebook page.We have temporarily had to put off traveling to Arizona and Indian Bible College, but the Lord has opened other doors of ministry for Warriors for Christ. With so many staying home we have new ministry possibilities to reach so many through Warriors for Christ Online.God has gives Warriors for Christ both challenges, but also new opportunities. We are adding new videos for our WFC Online channel on YouTube; on the playlist Light for the Path. Our purpose is to both minister and instruct. Also we are now “live streaming” them on Facebook. In this way we can answer questions bringing the Word in a personal way.📷We are continuing to add Google slides (like PowerPoint) for each lesson to help make our discipleship course easy to use – another tool for Pastors and Native leaders. We are also adding more videos to YouTube, on Walking the New Path discipleship course. Each lesson will have four parts (videos), again another tool for training and teaching.

PLEASE make a monthly pledge, or a one–time gift by VISIT www.wfconline.org ,at the top of the page click on “You can Help” then, click on the “DONATE” button at the bottom of the page and use our secure site to make your pledge or tax-exempt gift, through PayPal.With your continued support we have been able to minister during this time of new opportunities and uncertainty to the Native Nations. Thank you all so much for partnering with us. You are a big part of Warriors for Christ!”It is good to give thanks to the LORD and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; to declare Your loving kindness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night.” Psalm 92:1, 2
“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you
may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious
inheritance in his holy people,” – Ephesians 1:18
Contentment:
“Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever
circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know
how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the
secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering
need.” –
Philippians
4:11-12
As Paul writes, he has learned to live a life for Christ, not
looking at what others have, but seeking to have a closer relationship with
Jesus.
It is easy to see the “prosperity” of others and think,
“Why not me” Lord?” Yet, do we really know how their life
is going? Maybe they do have more money; but how is their family
life. How will their children grow up? How is their
spiritual life?
Let us seek after a bountiful “spiritual life” and other blessings
will come. The Lord is faithful to those who serve Him, to those who seek after
Him.

Spring discipleship outreach to Kamloops B.C. – April 25th through 28th
Warriors for Christ will be heading north to Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada
to be a part of the British Columbia Native Christian conference. The
keynote speaker for the conference will be Pastor Emerson Falls from Oklahoma.
It will be a great time to network, meeting new and old friends of
Warriors for Christ and setting up new contacts for discipleship training using
Walking the New Path. We will be setting up a Warriors for Christ table, so if
you are at the conference, come by and introduce yourself. We would love to
meet you!
On the average 100 people attend, coming from Canada, Washington, Idaho and
Montana. The conference was originally started by Native Evangelical
Fellowship, with InterAct and NAIM Fellowship ministries involved. The emphasis
will be on Biblical training as opposed to a cultural conference.
Warriors for Christ will fit right in because that is the key to our ministry –
Biblical discipleship.
To
make all this happen we need your help, support, and prayers.
Special
needs for this trip:
Prayer – asking the Lord to open new doors
Financial gifts to help cover – gas, food, lodging, and copies of
Walking the New Path for pastors and those involved in ministry

(LESSON
7, Talking with your Father Creator – Prayer, Part 4)
C.
How to pray
1.
Place – Where do you pray?
“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father,
who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward
you.” – Matthew 6:6
It helps to have a place set apart to pray. It could be in your bedroom, in the
living room, outside, a nearby coffee shop; a place that is quiet, relaxing and
where interruptions are few. From your kitchen to your office – have a regular
place to pray and meditate on His Word .
Go
somewhere you can talk to Him personally, just you and the Lord, whether out
loud or within your mind, He can hear you. You can also pray with others , in a
small group, Bible study, or church (Matt. 18:19, but remember to keep your
focus on God, rather than seeking an emotional experience.
2.
Time – when to pray
A devotional time is when you set aside a special time and place to get to know
the Lord through the reading of His Word and praying to Him. This will develop
a deeper relationship with Him.
Pray often. If you can, have this time first thing in the morning. (Discuss
with your discipler when and where). Try to get together with your Creator at
least 4 times a week. Pray for someone hurt in an accident you just saw, a
nephew who has an ear infection, or a bad habit you are dealing with. Just as
youth are constantly on their cell phones talking, or texting with their
friends, you can constantly talk with your loving Father Creator.
“Very
early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and
went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.” – Mark 1:35
•
“Pls pray for my daughter henna. She’s very sad and emotional coz she’s
had a miscarriage. Pls pls pray she comes out of her depression and is totally
healed
Pls
pls pray that henna is happy and cheerful again.” – Sony
•
“Praying for our families who are dealing with addiction. JESUS come set
the captives free.” – Patricia

Expansion:
Please pray for open doors as we reach out to Native Pastors in the
United States and Canada.
Regional Directors: Please pray for God to add to the staff of Warriors
for Christ. We want to expand the ministry by recruiting and training Regional
Directors to represent Warriors for Christ. Their main responsibility will be
going to Native churches to provide discipleship training.
In
addition, we need volunteerswho can help with maintenance at
Warrior’s Path, office support, and technical help with the website, YouTube,
and Facebook. Other areas you can help: prison ministry, prayer board and many
more. Just ask how you can be involved.
Please look at the list of opportunities above, and pray about which needs the
Lord would have you fill by partnering with Warriors for Christ through your
service and/or financial gifts.
With your support, we had a fantastic Arizona Outreach. We want to give you a special thank you of appreciation. Through your financial support you helped make this a effective and life changing outreach.
We had discipleship training from 6 pm to 9 pm for Indian Bible College freshman and others. One Navajo couple traveled for 2 hours to be there for the Walking the New Path discipleship training. Through Lesson 1, we were training how to effectively share their faith, using the Romans Road and many Native examples and illustrations, including Warriors for Christ’s tracts. Can you get to heaven by playing basketball, The Flight of the Eagle, and The 4 Seasons.
With Lesson 5, they learned how to have victory through their relationship with Christ. One woman said that ” this is just the type of lesson we need on the reservation for our home group. Many in our group are struggling with broken homes, depression, teenage rebellion, and drug and alcohol abuse. We need the victory that Christ gives us.”
On Wednesday, we provided discipleship training for Mountaintop Assembly of God church in Flagstaff AZ. After teaching on having victory through Jesus , we had a time of application. Everyone wrote down things they were struggling with on a card – sins, habits, attitudes – and put them in a bowl. Then, Gordon prayed, taking them up to the cross of Calvary, leaving their problems at the foot of the cross, and returning down the hill in Christ’s victory. Many came up to us after the service and said that even though they had known these principles in the past, Gordon presented it in such a way that it was clear and understandable – they could apply it to their lives and ask the Lord to change them from the inside out.
Then on Saturday, we had a full day workshop with upperclassmen at the college. We sent out an invitation to over 30 Pastors in the area. One Pastor came all the way from White Mountain Apache Reservation with 3 elders. We covered Lessons 3 and 4, Who is Jesus Christ and the HolySpirit and what He does for us.
It is hard to relate by letter, the positive reactions we received from the students and the church. Again, it demonstrated the power of God’s Word. Thank you for making all of this possible. Please pray that we will have sufficient funds to return this Spring, and that we will be able to meet some people that will want to join with Warrior for Christ to take God’s Word and discipleship to the Nations!
“Pray for Dillon who is analcoholic, drug user and severely depressed. He hates living and doesn’t know how to feel or be loved. Please send him someone to show him a way out. Open his heart and eyes to the light and give him hope…“
There is hope through Jesus for Dillon! Help us reach others like him.
Native Americans are still the forgotten mission field with less than 2% Christians, yet the Great Commission reminds us to reach first our Jerusalem – America.. It is only through Jesus Christ that there is any hope for Native Americans dealing with alcoholism, drugs, despair, and the highest suicide rate among youth. Sustainable faith in Jesus Christ among Natives can only be created when they are reached through discipleship by their own people. Warriors for Christ is called to help fulfill the Great Commission to the Native church.
We are planning a major outreach this Fall. We will be returning to Indian Bible College in Flagstaff, Arizona for Evangelism and Discipleship training for the freshman class. On Saturday we will have a workshop for returning students, and area Native leadership.
Then we will be going on to a training at Pastor Cid Cota’s church in Show Low AZ. He is also organizing a Pastors workshop on how Warriors for Christ can help them reach their reservations.
During a panel discussion of Native Pastors, the question was asked “What is the greatest need in the Native church today?” The answer was given by Pastor Ken Pretty on Top, of Crow Agency, “DISCIPLESHIP.”
Team up with us. Together with Warriors for Christ –YOU can reach the Native church. With your partnership, through your prayers and financial support, we will be able to provide this discipleship training.
Specific areas your financial gifts will cover include: Airfare, rental car, lodging, a meal for students at IBC sponsored by Warriors for Christ, and complete sets of Walking the New Path for freshman students and Native Pastors..
Please join with us as we head out with the Good News and His Word.
PLEASE make a gift for this outreach- just mail your gift to Warriors for Christ, 7026 Highway 20,Port Townsend, Washington 98368
or at the top of the page click on “You can Help” then, click on the “DONATE” button at the bottom of the page and use our secure site to make your special tax-exempt gift.
This is a special end of the year report and update from Warriors for Christ.
As 2016 comes to an end, we see a world full of pain and turmoil, but as Christians, we know that the hope for this World is in our Messiah, Jesus Christ. It was exciting to see how God worked through Warriors for Christ in the past year, and we look forward to expanding our Native Discipleship in 2017. We invite you to join with Warriors for Christ as we reach out with Father Creator’s Word.
“ Drumming, sacred blessings and cries of joy have echoed from the assembled throng of Sioux Indians, environmentalists, civil rights and water-worried protesters after the weekend announcement that U.S. Army Corps of Engineers struck down plans for the controversial Dakota Access pipeline.”
That was a victory that many were fighting for, but is there another victory waiting to happen? Will people now leave the reservation, and all the media go home to their cities? Will the People again be forgotten? Will they be left in their loneliness, depression isolation and with their broken families?
Is there an answer to the desperation? YES- yes there is an answer; a victory for this Reservation and All the other Reservations and Reserves in the U.S. and Canada and the First Nations people in our urban cities too. The answer is Jesus Christ and the Life Changing power He offers all peoples.
Warriors for Christ knows that the most effective way to reach this hurting population is through Native Christian Leadership bringing a message of hope through the truth of God’s Word. The Action Plan of Warriors for Christ is to disciple Native leadership to do just that. We are asking YOU to join with us in reaching out with the ONLY effective answer- Jesus Christ.

(LESSON 7, Talking with your Father Creator – Prayer, Part 1)
Introduction:
As you walk along the path, you hear your Father Creator’s voice again and you say,” Lord, I am here. “Why don’t you come sit on this rock and talk with me?” says Father Creator. You answer, “I didn’t know I could.” Father Creator replies, “Because you have a relationship with my Son, you can talk to me anytime.”
When you read God’s Word, the Lord through the Holy Spirit can talk to you, but you need to talk to Him also; we call this prayer. Thus, we can have two-way communication. Through the Word He talks with you, through prayer you talk to Him.
Isaiah 30:21
“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
Philippians 4:6
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
There are many examples in the Bible of how Father Creator is moved (responds) to our prayer.
In Genesis, we see the power of prayer when Joseph went from being in jail to being in charge of Egypt
In Exodus, the Red Sea opened for Moses and the Children of Israel passed through the waters on dry land
Angels opened the jail doors for Peter
Your greatest prayer was when you asked Father Creator to save you and forgive all your sins through His Son, Jesus Christ
As you read His Word, the Holy Spirit within you helps you know what His will is and when you pray according to Father Creator’s will, He acts!
James 1:5
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
Psalm 32:8
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”
Hebrews 4:16
“Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

Things here at work have gotten worse for her. This evil co-worker is can’t seem to leave her alone. She at her worst behavior towards Michelle. Please dear lord remove this evil co-worker from her place of work. Michelle has worked for more than 13 yrs and can’t afford to lose her job. In Jesus name let us pray. Lord hear our prayers. Amen.” – Rose
“Dear God I’m hurting all over and very depressed. My Father in heaven please end our separation and talk of divorce so we can be reunited together again. WARRIORS FOR CHRIST
North American Headquarters: 7026 Highway 20, Port Townsend WA 98368
Donette grew up in a family that attended the Shaker Church. Because she had never really studied the Bible herself, she had a lot of confusion about God’s Word. She has come to discipleship off and on for the last 2 years and has consistently attending for 6 months. As she reads, and meditates on the Word, she is growing strong and stable.
It has been a joy to see her grow in the Lord. Even as hard circumstances have come into her life, she turns to the Word of God, prayer, and her brothers and sisters for support. She said in discipleship class a few months back that she would like to teach the Word to others in the future.
As we look forward to the Discipleship Class at S’Klallam Worship Center, located on the Port Gamble Reservation this September, we are excited to see how the Lord is going to use His Word to change lives. There are some expenses that we will have such as gas, the WFC course Walking the New Path and other costs related to this local discipleship training. Please pray about supporting this outreach on a monthly basis.
We are continuing to reach out to Native Churches first in the Northwest, and then as funds become available will spread the circle. We are available to do training for a weekend, a week, or even longer. We do need help on transportation, food, and WFC materials.
WFC – ONLINE:
In addition, this fall we will be developing an online course of Walking the New Path. We have already made a introduction video to this series on our new Warriors for Christ Online YouTube channel. Come by and check it out at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvUaJPOqzd0 My son Trent is helping us film this course and is really doing a Great job! Right now we are filming outside in the State Parks around Port Townsend. This provides a neat background for being on His Path- the theme of the course.
This special Warriors for Christ Online Discipleship Outreach will be able to reach Native Leadership, and Native Churches in America, Canada, and beyond. We will first put the lesson on YouTube, then on our WFC Website under Discipleship (see http://wfconline.org/discipleship-material/ ), and then put on our WFC Facebook page. The potential audience could be over 5,000. Maybe you would like to help our Online Staff in the necessary follow up that is needed to make it truly discipleship training, not just a Bible study. It is all about changing lives through the power of His Word.

“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32
LIGHT FOR THE PATH
Contentment:
“Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.” Philippians 4:11-12
As Paul writes, he has learned to live a life for Christ; not looking at what others had, but seeking to have a closer relationship with Jesus.
It is easy to see the “prosperity” of others and think, “Why not me, Lord?” Yet, do we really know how their life is going? Maybe they do have more money, but how is their family life? How will their children grow up? How is their spiritual life?
Let us seek after a rich “spiritual life” and other blessings and contentment will come. The Lord is faithful to those who serve Him; to those who seek after Him.
“Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Psalm 103:2-5
WARRIORS FOR CHRIST NEWS
Reaching Out: This summer we are reaching out to Native Pastors on reservations and in urban areas in the Northwest (WA, OR, ID, and B. C.) to bring discipleship training to Native churches. It is our goal to provide training workshops in Native churches, to see lives changed, empowered by His Word, and then leave Walking the New Path, so those who have been through the training can disciple others. If you are a part of a Native church, share our information with your Pastor. We also are available for discipleship training at the Warrior’s Path, the Warriors for Christ headquarters in Port Townsend, WA.
Convocation: We attended the Native American Fellowship Convocation in Auburn WA. It was a great time to meet up with friends around the country and represent Warriors for Christ. We are now following up several contacts we made.
Easter Dinner: Brown, came to discipleship class at S’Klallam Worship Center, so excited to tell us all his news. He was honored by his clan this Easter. He was asked to pray for the meal at his clan’s Easter dinner. Like others in the class, he has experienced such great spiritual growth.
Discipleship Center: Through a generous gift, Warriors for Christ we will be able to finish the Discipleship Center. We are so excited about this gift. But, we could use your volunteer help with insulating, sheetrocking, painting, putting in a wood stove, etc. Your men’s group or youth group could come as a mission trip.
Warriors for Christ YouTube Channel: Currently, we have Light for the Path on the YouTube channel and are adding more videos. In the future we will start adding Walking the New Path. This can be used for discipleship training around the nation, for those who can’t come to Warrior’s Path, or as a additional resource for disciplers.
2 other special gifts: We received a general gift that we were able to use to cover travel expenses for Convocation. This was such a blessing. Another gift supplied 5 sets of Walking the New Path to those who would otherwise be unable to purchase the course. Thank you so much to our faithful supporters.
WALKING THE NEW PATH
(Below is an excerpt of the Warriors for Christ discipleship course, Walking the New Path. Each newsletter we add a new section.)
(LESSON 6 THE CREATER’S WORD – THE BIBLE, Part 6)
Bible resources
Versions of the Bible – Use a Bible that is easier to understand such as New King James, New American Standard, or New International Version. Warriors for Christ recommends the New International Version Study Bible or New American Standard Study Bible.
Study Bibles – Study Bible have additional notes and explanations at the bottom of the page that will help you understand the scripture you are reading. There are also several Bible helps at the back of the Bible, such as maps, concordance, dictionary, so you can study and understand the Bible better. Before you study the Word, pray asking the Holy Spirit to give you understanding and wisdom. You can also read the introduction to the book of the Bible you are going to read to give you more insight.
Bible Studies – These studies give you an overview and explanation of the whole Bible or particular books. For example, Chuck Swindoll’s “Insight for Living” has many great studies on books of the Bible.
Concordances –A concordance has a list of key words in the Bible. You can look up a word and it will give you a list of books, chapters, and verses that contain that word a specific word. An example would be “Strong’s Concordance.” You also may have one in the back of your Bible. So, if you looked up the word love, for instance, you could then find each verse in the Bible that contains that word. Thus, you could do a topical study and find out what the Lord says about certain subjects. Take time right now with your discipler to look up “love” or maybe “eagle” in your concordance.
Topical Bible References – Example Naves Topical Bible lists scripture by topic. It has Bible quotes by subject, topic, or a person. Warriors for Christ recommend you get “God’s Promises for Your Every Need.” This small book is great for studying, memorizing, meditating, and counseling.
Bible Dictionaries – Defines a word from a Biblical standpoint. This is important as the meaning of words changes as English meanings change. Such as the word “cool” used to mean something that is colder, but now means something trendy, fashionable, or really neat.
Book Commentaries – Gives an understanding and helps explain a book in the Bible, example is “Matthew Henry Commentary.” It goes through each book of the Bible with verse-by-verse explanation.
Paraphrase – A paraphrase is not a real Bible, but one person’s interpretation of what the Bible means. An example of this is the “Living Bible.” Paraphrases can be a good tool to help understand the main ideas of verses, but should not replace your Bible

” I have been experiencing an onslaught of attacks by the adversary over the past three yrs. Recently, the attacks have been more intensified.
