Traditions: "The Eagle"
The eagle has great respect among Native peoples in North America. It is considered a "messenger" to the
Creator and symbolizes his love for his people.
The eagle will soar to great heights and can see danger or prey from afar. It is very powerful and has
great courage. When a warrior is given an eagle feather it shows his courage in battle and his spiritual relationship to his Father
Creator.
For the Christian, we can communicate directly to our loving Father Creator through the relationship we
have with Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus promised that he would send "the messenger" that communicates, instructs, guides and empowers us
to do His will. He sent the Holy Spirit. When we have faith in the Lord He gives us the ability to walk a victorious life.
Isaiah 40:29-31
"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they
will walk and not be faint. (NIV)

Suggested prayer:
Father Creator,
Thank you for sending your son Jesus to take my punishment for my sins. Thank you for your
great love and grace that you and your son Jesus gave to me.
I renounce (turn away from) any shamanism and use of spirits that I or my family have been
involved with. I break these spiritual ties through my new relationship with Christ. I pull down any satanic strongholds in my life
through the resurrection of Christ, through His blood that He shed on the cross! Thank you Jesus.
I accept the new life and your new path for my life. Thank you Father Creator. In Jesus
name, Amen (let it be so).

battle, that I have the heart of Christ and that I do not take revenge, but let the Lord have vengeance. Help me stand still and not
