Traditions: Hospitality
In "times past" some tribes would be very hospitable to the visitor, especially the "visiting orator." This
person was like a traveling newspaper. All would circle around as he would tell the news and speak on various topics. This would go on
for hours and much honor would be shown him.
On the rez, a family of 3 can grow to over 10 in the same HUD house. The homes would be filled with
visiting sons, daughters, uncles, aunts, etc.
Today, this gift of hospitality was exhibited by the tribes at Pala and Pechanga reservations in Southern
California as they took in victims on the surrounding reservations of the tribal fires. Those who lost their homes in these fires were
offered lodging in the tribal resort hotels.

Walking
the New Path
(Part 2
from Lesson 2: Who Is Father - Creator?)
5. Our Father - Creator Is Everywhere
We can’t hide from our Heavenly Father. He is in all places at all times. He is not in the trees, mountains, earth, sky, etc. But He
is everywhere. We can pray, that is talk to Him, anywhere and anytime.
Psalm 139:7 - "Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle
on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand."
6. Our Father - Creator Is Holy
Our Creator cannot sin or do any wrong. Father-Creator has always been and always will be perfect.
Psalm 145:17 - "The LORD is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has
made."
Psalm 99:9 - "Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his holy mountain, for the LORD our God is holy."
B. What Does God Do?
1. God the Father is the Creator
He made the whole universe. He made our world, the air we breathe and the earth we walk on. He made the ocean, the fish, the animals
and people.
Psalm 102:25 - "In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the
heavens are the work of your hands."
Genesis 1:1-5 - "In the beginning was the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the
surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light. God
saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light 'day', and the darkness he called
'night'. And there was evening and there was morning - the first day."

Father-Creator's
Word
After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude, which no one could count,
from every nation and {all} tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and
palm branches {were} in their hands; and they cry out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to
the Lamb."
