Cyber Signals — Summer 2018 Newsletter / Warriors for Christ

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—  not by works, so that no one can boast.” – Ephesians 2:8,9

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” – John 3:16

To become a Christian (a follower of His Way) is the simplest, yet, the hardest thing you can do.

“Simple”, because it only takes a bit of faith in such a loving and great Savior, the Lord, Jesus Christ. The Bible says it just takes faith the size of a mustard seed – the smallest seed – to become a Christian. “Hard,” because we want to reach our Creator through  our “own” good works. We want to be saved through “our” way,  at “our” time.  We add so much to the simple truth of the Gospel.

Share the simple truth of the Gospel with all, despite the sin they may be in.  The Gospel, should be shared freely, and not be a burden by adding our own do’s and don’ts.

Warriors for Christ Discipleship:

Fall discipleship outreach to Arizona – We will be heading back to Arizona again this fall to do another discipleship training at Indian Bible College in Flagstaff.  We are excited to be returning as the last training was such a success.  Dates are still in the planning stage, but e everything should be finalized in the next couple weeks.

In addition, we will be doing discipleship training at Pastor Cid Cota’s church in Show Low AZ.  Pastor Cid has a desire to be a bridge to the reservations in his area and he is centrally located to the Navajo, Hopi, Apache, Pueblo, and Zuni reservations.  He and his congregation have a vision to reach these Nations and Warriors for Christ will help provided training in how to use Walking the New Path and the materials they can use.

We are also hoping to provide discipleship training in a couple other churches – one in Flagstaff and the other in Phoenix.  If your church is in the area and would be interested in discipleship training please contact us.   If you are a part of a Native church, give information to your Pastor about Warriors for Christ.  It is our goal to provide training  workshops in Native churches in North America, to see lives changed, empowered by His Word, and

then leave Walking the New Path, so those who have been through the training can disciple others. We are available for discipleship training in your church, or at the Warrior’s Path, Warriors for Christ’s headquarters in Port Townsend, WA.

Whether a Sunday morning service, weekend workshop, or a weeklong discipleship seminar, WFC would love to share Christ’s hope for the Nations to your church, reservation, or with a group of family and friends.  Please share our Facebook and Youtube with your friends and family.

To make all this happen we need your help, support, and prayers.

Special needs for this trip:

Prayer — That doors will open, and hearts open too.

Financial  — gifts to help cover – airfare, food, rental car, lodging and copies of Walking the New Path for students and pastors

Volunteers — to help with all the details and materials, in Arizona

Warriors for Christ Online:

Warriors for Christ Online YouTube channel, website and Google slides:

Share Warriors for Christ’s resources  with your friends and family.

We are putting all our lessons on Google slides (similiar to PowerPoint) which can be used by Native Pastors and leaders. You can even use the YouTube channel and Google slides to have a study in your home. This is an easy way to share the God/s word with those you love.  Or these resources can be used as  a training tool for disciplers, for small group discussion, or for the general public.  They can be used on the reservation, and in urban areas.

Webmaster and technical help:

As we continue to add additional ministry tools that can be used by Pastors and disciplers, we also need more support staff to help with all the technical needs.  Currently, we really need a new webmaster and a volunteer to help with YouTube videos, Google slides, and other technical jobs.

Discipleship Center:

It  has taken longer to complete than we were hoping, but we are now ready for mudding and painting.  If you have a group that would like to come help with this project, please give us a call and we will set up a time to come. Just  $200. would be enough to paint the interior!

Pastor, please make plans with your church, or leadership, to come for discipleship training at the Warrior’s Path.  The training could be a weekend or a week – long getting in depth training on the use of Walking the New Path and retreating to the beautiful Northwest!

As we develop the Warrior’s Path we have increased maintenance needs.  We invite you, your family, and/or church to come by and lend a hand.  Can you help with a project? Phone us so we can make arrangements.  We are located just outside of Port Townsend WA with great recreational opportunities including the Olympic National Park, sailing, etc. It can also be a fun time for horseshoes, campfire, outside Gathering Place, etc. Some lodging is available.

The Lodge – used for group study, prayer, and guest bedroom

(LESSON 7, Talking with your Father Creator – Prayer, Part 4)

  1. Petition

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. – Philippians 4:6

You “petition” the Lord when you ask or make requests of Him. This should be done at the end of your prayer time. Don’t let this be the only type of praying you do. There is not a need or problem too large or too small that you can’t ask of Father Creator to help you with.

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” – Matthew 7:7-8

“Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; be merciful to me and hear my prayer.” – Psalm 4:1

The Book of Psalms gives many good examples of David petitioning the Lord.

NOTE:  To help you remember the 4 stages of prayer, use the 4 directions. As there are four directions, there are also four types of prayer.

The East – where the sun rises, start with praise for who He is

The South – where the warmth of the wind blows, thank Him for what      He’s done for you

The North – where the cold truth of sin reveals the need for repentance, ask for His forgiveness

The West – the final direction is for our requests/petitions

The first two are giving to God, the last two are asking from Him.

“My son Robert was in a car accident June 19. Has been in the ICU since then. Pray for his lungs go be strength, his spine 5c6c. All of his internal and external organs to function normally and the way they did before the accident. Pray total physical healing. Whether divinely or through the doctors in the name of Jesus. I decree and declare him. Please pray in agreement with me and God\’s word for total recovery miraculously. In Jesus name Amen!” – Pam

“My mother\’s business is doing bad right now, and we are greatly having financial trouble. We aren’t\’t selling product, and the bills are coming up. We pray and ask for things to sell today and/or this weekend, and for the future. May our financial issues be better. Thank you, and God bless all who pray on our behalf.” – Barbara

“Asking for prayer for my Sister (Jennifer) First for Salvation if not saved. If saved, for God to get a hold of her and then for a closer walk for her with Him. Second for God help when it comes to her jobs. That she would have a good job, good pay, to bring home the money she needs to take care of her 3 children and bills. Then prayer for her 1st child, Jacob. He has had a bad attitude lately towards her and others. Pray that God get a hold of him and changed the attitude for the better. Lastly for the father of the youngest two to stop giving her so much grief. Thank you for your prayers and God bless.” – Jason

“My name is Paul Ironcloud Weaver. I was released from Walla Walla state prison on March 12th 2018. While in prison God found me at my lowest and called me to the ministry to bring His word to the Native American tribes in the USA. In prison I studied His word in a ESV study bible loaned to me. Now I am seeking one of my own to study and prepare for the ministry. Please pray for this request.” – Paul
